Fishing for those at staying at Bala campsite is completely free while outside anglers can purchase day tickets.
The campsite holds its own fishing rights for a frontage of the River Dee and is just a short walk from the main pitching area. Alternatively, those who book River Camping will be on the doorstep of the stunning location which is best by some beautiful scenery.
Fishermen have noted that species such as trout, sea trout, salmon, grayling, chub and dace can all be caught from here.
Similarly, there is course fishing available at the nearby Bala Lake where there have been over 14 different species of fish caught in recent times. Day tickets for fishing at Bala Lake are available from the warden.
On a broader scale, the North Wales area is well-known for its excellent sea fishing facilities from either beach or boat while the coastal town of Barmouth is just a short drive away.
Close Season for coarse fishing is 15th March until the 15th June inc.
All Fishermen must have their rod licence and their own permit to fish on the River Dee. Both are obtainable from either the Post Office or D.E shop on Bala High Street.
